Open Multiple Email Accounts at Same Time Same Browser

Getting tired of dealing with multiple email accounts? – If you have multiple user ids with same domain, you would either open them in different browsers or sign out from one account to sign into another one at the same browser. Though you can grant access of your all Gmail accounts to one Gmail account by Gmail’s Email Delegation feature, the other services like Yahoo, Outlook, Hotmail, Microsoft Live do not have such feature. Again, you could manage multiple email accounts from one Gmail account, but it’d not solve your problem completely.

Even, you cannot open two Google services together at the same browser which use different Gmail accounts. Ofcourse, you could have used different browsers to open them at the same time , but, how many browsers will you install at your computer if the number is more than five or six? Better, you could open multiple email accounts at the same time, same browser. Here is how to do it.

How to open multiple email accounts at the same time in Firefox

Generally, Firefox runs with the same default profile although you open more than one Firefox Window(s). But, you can run multiple instances of Firefox with different profiles. Thus you can open multiple email accounts in different instances of Firefox.

Step 1: Creating a new profile in Firefox

To create a new profile in Firefox, just follow the instruction below:

Pres Win key + R to open the ‘Run’ command box and execute the command below. ( Note: Close all running instances of Firefox before you run following code. )

For Windows XP : "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -CreateProfile firefox-profile1
For Windows 7 : "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -no-remote -P firefox-profile1

Where firefox-profile1 is the name of the profile. You can give the profile name as anything you wish.

Also remeber that the path C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe may change as per your installation.

Step 2: Running Firefox with the newly created profile

To run the firefox-profile1 profile execute the following command (including the quotes) in the ‘Run’ command box.
